Session-Based Support

SERVICE

Focused performance psychology support, available as a single session or a structured short-term block.

Designed for athletes, performers and coaches who want expert help with a specific challenge, an important competitive period or a defined area of mental performance, without joining an ongoing monthly programme.

Who this support is for

Session-Based Support may be a good fit if you:

  • want focused help with a specific performance challenge;

  • are preparing for a competition, trial, selection process or important phase of the season;

  • need to improve confidence, concentration or control under pressure;

  • are returning from injury or adapting to a change in role, team or competitive level;

  • have worked with me before and need a review, reset or targeted follow-up.

This service provides a defined period of focused work. It does not include continuous access, competition travel, staff coordination or ongoing performance monitoring. Athletes who need that level of support should consider one of the monthly performance programmes.

What we can work on

The work is adapted to your sport, role and current situation. Common areas include:

  • competition preparation and pre-performance routines;

  • confidence and trust in your skills;

  • concentration, decision-making and staying present;

  • managing pressure, nerves and performance anxiety;

  • recovering after mistakes, setbacks or poor performances;

  • emotional regulation, motivation and consistent performance behaviours;

  • mindfulness, breathing, visualisation and attention-control techniques.

  • reviewing performances and turning experience into practical learning.

Support can also be adapted to injury rehabilitation, role changes, team communication and performance review.

A single session can provide direction and a practical next step. Long-standing patterns or more complex performance demands normally require several sessions and consistent application between them.

How the sessions work

Sessions last approximately 50–60 minutes and normally take place online through Google Meet. Support is available in English or Spanish.

The first session is used to understand your situation, identify the relevant performance demands and agree on a clear focus. Depending on your needs, the work may include structured discussion, assessment, performance planning, mental skills training and practical exercises between sessions.

The approach is practical and individualised. The strategies are selected and adapted to your sport, role, competitive level and current circumstances rather than taken from a generic programme.

What is included

  • a confidential 50–60 minute online session;

  • a clear focus based on your current performance needs;

  • individualised strategies and practical recommendations;

  • relevant exercises, worksheets or audio resources when useful;

  • between-session practice when appropriate;

  • brief follow-up contact related to the work agreed during the session.

Communication between sessions

Brief WhatsApp or email contact may be used to clarify an agreed exercise, share a relevant update or make a small adjustment to the plan. Messages are reviewed during normal working hours and answered as availability allows.

Between-session contact does not replace an appointment and does not include continuous access, extensive support by message or immediate responses. Matters requiring detailed analysis, extended discussion or a new intervention will be addressed during a session.

This is not an emergency or crisis service.

What happens after purchase

  1. Complete your payment

    Payment is processed securely through Stripe.

  2. Arrange your first session

    You will receive confirmation, booking instructions and the required intake and consent information.

  3. Begin the work

    We will agree on the initial focus and the most appropriate spacing between sessions. When you purchase a package, progress will be reviewed throughout the block and the final session will include clear next steps.

Conditions of use and validity

  • All sessions and packages must be paid in advance.

  • Each session is valid for 30 consecutive calendar days, including weekends and public holidays.

  • The validity period for the first session begins on the date of purchase. The validity period for each subsequent session begins on the date the previous session takes place.

  • If a session is not used within its allocated 30-day period, it expires. The validity period for the next session then begins when the previous session’s validity period ends.

  • When an additional package is purchased while another package remains active, the new package is placed after the existing package. Its first 30-day validity period begins when the final session of the previous package is used or expires.

  • Sessions must be used in sequence and are personal and non-transferable.

  • Extensions may be considered in exceptional circumstances but must be requested before the relevant expiry date and agreed in writing.

Cancellation and rescheduling policy

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

  • Sessions cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice can be rearranged without charge.

  • Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, will normally be charged in full or counted as used within a package.

  • Genuine emergencies and exceptional circumstances may be considered individually.

  • If I need to cancel a session, it will be rearranged and will not be deducted from your package.

  • If you arrive late, the session will normally still finish at the scheduled time so that the next client is not affected.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to book a free consultation first?

It is strongly recommended for new clients, especially if you are unsure which option fits your needs. Previous clients, or people who have already discussed the work with me, can purchase directly.

Which option should I choose?

Choose one session for a specific and contained need. Choose four sessions for a focused short-term process. Choose six sessions when you need more repetition, review and continuity. The free consultation can help you make the decision.

How often will the sessions take place?

The spacing depends on your needs and schedule. Sessions may be weekly, fortnightly or arranged around relevant training and competition dates. We will agree on a rhythm that gives you enough time to apply the work.

Can I use a package around an important competition?

Yes. Sessions can be planned around preparation, competition and review. However, booking remains subject to availability, so important dates should be discussed as early as possible.

Are the sessions confidential?

Yes. Information is treated confidentially within professional, ethical and legal limits. These limits, including safeguarding and risk-related exceptions, are explained before the work begins.

Do you work with athletes under 18?

Yes, where appropriate. Parental or guardian consent, safeguarding arrangements and communication boundaries are agreed before starting.

Can I request a refund for unused sessions?

Refund requests are considered in line with applicable consumer law and the terms agreed before starting. Where work has already begun, completed sessions may be recalculated at the standard single-session rate before any eligible balance is returned.

Ready to begin?

New clients should begin with a free consultation so that we can clarify the situation, make sure the service is appropriate and choose the right level of support.
